Wordless{ish} Wednesday: My Favorite Actions.

I am so glad I had uploaded all these photos to photobucket. In case you hadn't heard, my hard drive experienced a catastrophic failure and I've lost everything. I'm working on making enough money to send it out to recovery, but it's pretty expensive, so it may take awhile. Ugh.

I really enjoy the photo-editing process. I really only use two actions when I'm editing: MCP Mini Fusion and Eye Love Sparkle. The really cool thing about Mini Fusion is that for running the one action, I can create a variety of looks just by adjusting the opacity of each layer.

In general, I enjoy a more vintage feel to my photos, so a lot of times I edit them with a bit more yellow or blue. But as you can see, some of the photos have a softer finish and others are a little more harsh and exposed. I just play with each setting until I find the exact look I am aiming for. Usually when I look at a picture, I form a visual in my mind of how I want it to appear in the end.

For the most part, I am getting better at setting up my camera so that I get very close to the end result right off the bat, because it's always better to shoot a great picture first, rather than spend hours editing. I'm by no means a pro, but I'm really enjoying the learning process and exploring my own personal shooting and editing style.
